They said 25-year-old Terry Broussard Jr. stabbed 40-year-old Ronnell White in his abdomen while they were at White's mother's house.
Authorities said they believe White and Broussard knew each other, but have not released any other details about the incident.
Police issued first-degree murder warrants for Broussard.
Detectives are asking if anyone has information on Broussard's whereabouts to call CRIMESTOPPERS at 483-8477 or the Fayetteville Police Homicide Unit at 433-1871.
