Buddy F. Hawkins of Youngsville is being held on $100,000 bond, He's charged with one count of sexual offense institution, a felony.
Hawkins was employed as a health care technician.
Investigators said they were trying to determine if the sex might have been consensual, but that wouldn't likely affect the charge because consensual sex cannot be given from a patient to a custodian, according to investigators. Hawkins is due in court Monday.
