According to authorities, the crash happened at 8:39 a.m. near the entrance ramp onto I-40.
One of the trucks overturned, spilling its load of hardwood flooring. At least one person was taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries.
The injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.
The closed potion of NC 55 reopened just after 11 a.m.
