Police say they began chasing the unidentified driver near the state capital on suspicion of drunken driving. During the chase, the driver slammed into some parked cars on Varsity Drive near NC State.
The driver got out of the wrecked car and ran.
Canine officers were called to the scene to help search but the suspect escaped. The only clue is the suspect's car.
