Clay Aiken will perform at a benefit for the North Carolina Theatre.
Recently, Aiken appeared on ABC11 Eyewitness News' "Heart of Carolina Perspectives" with Broadway actress and Raleigh native Lauren Kennedy. She also will perform at the concert.
Both performers talked about their early acting experiences at the NCT.
Aiken recalled having to deliver one line in a play years ago. He said after his performance, the director told him to stop acting.
Since that experience, Aiken has become an award winning singer and Broadway actor.
The concert begins at 8 p.m.
