Parents of students at a Raleigh high school put pressure on city council over the condition of the school.

Tuesday, city council approved a recommendation to renovate some of the facilities at Athens Drive High School. The stadium and surrounding areas are actually city-owned.

A vocal group of parents had been petitioning the council for the changes. They said, among other things, that the parking lot needs repaving and the bleachers need to be repaired.
