Police perform nightclub raid in Johnston County

SELMA, N.C.

Officials served a warrant at The Ranch located at 200 Graham Street in Selma at 10:30 p.m. after a six-month investigation.

During the investigation, ALE agents found that employees were regularly selling illegal drugs, engaging in prostitution and other sex offenses, and violating the alcoholic beverage control laws. Those arrested or ticketed range in age from 19 to 62 years old.

The investigation is ongoing and officials said numerous additional arrests are expected. Prescription pills, powder MDMA, and cocaine were seized during the raid.

"This joint operation shows the good citizens of Selma we are not going to tolerate the illegal activities going on in this establishment or any other," said Captain R.A. Cooper of the Selma Police Department. "I believe this will send a message to any business in our town if you are engaging in criminal activity, you could be next."
