Woman arrested in connection with shooting in Moore County

SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. (WTVD) -- Deputies have arrested a woman in connection with a shooting in Southern Pines Friday afternoon.

It happened around 3:40 p.m. in the 800 block of Yadkin Road.

Susan Slacum Barrett, 52, is charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill.

The motive behind the shooting is unclear.

Barrett is being held in the Moore County Detention Center without bond.
