RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Police are investigating the robbery of a BB&T bank in the 9100 block of Litchford Road in northeast Raleigh near Falls of Neuse.

It happened shortly after 12:20 p.m. Friday.

Police said a man entered the BB&T branch and passed a note to a teller that implied he had a weapon and demanded cash. After the teller complied with the note's demands, the suspect left the bank and was last seen on foot going into the parking lot of the Muirfield Village Apartments.

It happened on Litchford Road.

The suspect was seen in surveillance images. He is described as a black man, about 6 feet 2 to 6 feet 4 inches tall. He was wearing a white, long-sleeve shirt, khaki pants, a safety vest and sunglasses.

The man appeared to have dreadlocks. but police think they may not be his actual hair, and could be attached to his hat.
