WAKE COUNTY (WTVD) -- A boil water advisory for 4,500 customers in Cary and Morrisville has been lifted, officials said Sunday.

Thousands had their water service restored after an interruption on Friday, but residents were still advised to boil their water before using it.

A water-main break in the 1000 block of Chapel Hill Road in Morrisville was the culprit, and it affected area neighborhoods and businesses for hours Friday and Saturday.
