BUIES CREEK, NC (WTVD) -- A Campbell University student has died in a fall on campus.

The University said Ezra Goldbach was a first-year student in the Lundy-Fetterman School of Business studying in the Professional Golf Management program and was from Pinnacle in Stokes County, North Carolina.

The university said the Harnett County Sheriff's Office and the Office of Student Life are investigating the incident.

"Our Campus Safety personnel and the Harnett County Sherriff's Office continue to investigate to determine the facts. In the meantime, let us refrain from conjuncture or judgement. Instead let us invest those thoughts in prayerful support for those who mourn," said Campbell President J. Bradley Creed in a statement.

The university held a remembrance at 2 p.m. in Butler Chapel, and announced that counseling services were available Friday afternoon in various locations across campus.

No other details were immediately available.
