CARY (WTVD) -- The Town of Cary has lifted a boil water advisory for residents in the Wellington Park neighborhood.
Officials issued the advisory following a water main break along Kirkfield Drive early Tuesday morning that caused water service to be interrupted.
About 79 homes in the southeast Cary neighborhood were impacted. No businesses in the area were affected.
In the interest of safety, customers who lost water were advised to boil their water until Wednesday morning. Officials said after 18 hours of lab testing, the water was officially deemed safe for all uses.
