FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- Authorities have identified the victim in a deadly crash on Sunday morning.
Cumberland County authorities are investigating the crash that left one person dead and three injured early Sunday morning just before 4 a.m. on Magnolia Church Road in Stedman.
The car ran off the road into an embankment, authorities said.
The back-seat passenger died in the crash. He was identified as Ronald McDonald, 62, of Fayetteville.
The driver, Anita Owens, 32, was injured, as were passengers John McCray, 43, and Zallisha Howard, 8.
The vehicle was traveling east on NC 24 when it ran off the road to the right, hit a ditch and struck a tree, state troopers said.
Charges are pending. The investigation is still ongoing, troopers said.
