Serious crash slows traffic on I-85

DURHAM (WTVD) -- Traffic was slowed on I-85 southbound near Duke Street Thursday morning when a woman's vehicle was hit by a tractor-trailer.

Witnesses said she suddenly crossed two lanes of traffic before the truck hit her.

The smaller vehicle suffered heavy damage.

The woman was taken to the hospital.
