DURHAM (WTVD) -- A Durham man is working to repair damage to his home after thieves took off with some of his stuff and even fired a gun at him.
The man did not want to be identified but showed ABC11 the damage left behind after a break in at his home along Marlin Drive in Durham. He pointed to a door that was completely off its hinges.
On Wednesday, the man noticed three males with items that looked like his in the area of Owen Street and Boone Court. He gave chase and the suspects fired at him. Bullets hit the side the man's truck. Thankfully, he wasn't hurt.
The only description of the thieves from police is that they were teenagers in dark clothing.
