Franklinton Middle School evacuated after bomb threat

FRANKLINTON, NC (WTVD) -- Franklinton Middle School was evacuated following a bomb threat around 9:30 Wednesday morning.

Students were moved out to the school ball field while Franklin police and Franklin County Sheriff's Office deputies searched the school.

Officials said the all clear was given around 10:45 and students were allowed to return to class.

Nothing was found during the search. Police said they were continuing to investigate and charges are pending.
