Woman attacked on popular Durham jogging trail

DURHAM, N.C. (WTVD) -- A woman was assaulted on a popular jogging trail in Durham on Monday.

The woman said she was running on the Ellerbe Creek Trail around noon when a man ran up to her, grabbed her and tried to pull her off the trail.

She was able to scream and fight the man off. He ran away.

The woman has filed a police report with the Durham Police Department.
