Tisha Powell welcomes baby girl
RALEIGH (WTVD) -- There is a new member of the ABC 11 family and her name is Evangeline Jaymes!
"Eva" was born to Tisha Powell and her husband James at UNC Hospitals.
She weighed in at 6 pounds and 2.4 ounces and is 19 inches long.
On Thursday, Larry Stogner visited Tisha and the baby in the hospital, where she revealed Eva's delivery did not go as planned.
James was driving her to the hospital when she said the baby could not wait.
"We went to the fire station because there were all sorts of EMS workers and fire folks standing outside. So they were like, lady with a baby, come on over. So I have to thank the Orange County Fire Department for that," Tisha said.
Fortunately, EMS got her to the hospital just in time, and Eva was born on the same day as her older sister, Nina. Eva was actually due on Tisha's birthday.
Tisha will now be taking some time off so she can get to know her new daughter.
As you can see from the picture above, Tisha and baby are healthy and happy!
