Man found unconscious, injured outside Fayetteville bar

FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- Fayetteville police are investigating an assault after a Fort Bragg man was found unconscious and badly injured outside a bar last month.

On April 10, around 3:30 a.m., officers were called to the parking lot of Sharkey's bar at 944 Bragg Blvd.

When officers arrived, they found 41-year-old William Moore unconscious, with broken bones and lacerations and bruising on his face and head.

Authorities said he had been assaulted, at some point within a few hours of someone calling 911, by an unknown suspect or suspects.

Detectives with the FPD's Aggravated Assault Unit are actively investigating the incident.
