Globetrotters with UNC, NCSU ties make amazing shot

Two Harlem Globetrotters with links to the Tar Heel State took March Madness to new heights.

The Globetrotters took to the roof of the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia and put two shots through a hoop more than 100 feet below.

Globetrotters Orlando "El Gato" Melendez" and Johnny "Hawk" Thomas each sank a shot from that altitude.

Melendez played for the University of North Carolina from 1998-2002, appearing in two Final Fours for the Tar Heels (1998, 2000).

Thomas played two seasons at N.C. State (2008-2010) before transferring and finishing his college career with Marshall. He was a member of the 2009 All-ACC Academic Team with the Wolfpack.
