Durham police search for restaurant robber

DURHAM (WTVD) -- Durham police are searching for the robber who held up a Subway restaurant at gunpoint on Sunday.

It happened around 4:45 p.m. at the restaurant in the 100 block of Sherron Road.

Police said the man handed the clerk cash to make a purchase. As the clerk was making change, the suspect pulled out a gun and demanded money. He fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The alleged robber was described as a black male, between 18 to 20 years old, and approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall with a medium build. He had his hair in an Afro and was wearing a dark T-shirt and blue jeans.
