Man charged with manslaughter following Fuquay-Varina fight

FUQUAY-VARINA (WTVD) -- Authorities in Fuquay-Varina have charged a man with voluntary manslaughter following a fight early Thursday morning.

Police officers were called about the fight just after 12:30 a.m. at a home in the 320 block of West Jones Street.

When police arrived, they found the home's owner, 43-year-old Andrew Frank Dibona, in the front yard after being stabbed in the fight.

Dibona was taken to WakeMed in Raleigh, where was pronounced dead.

Jerrod Montrell Brown, age 29, of Angier, received minor injuries in the fight and was treated and released from WakeMed. Detectives charged him with voluntary manslaughter Thursday.
