FAYETTEVILLE, NC (WTVD) -- The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office says it has used a dive team to search flood water along I-95 for a man who's not been heard from since Saturday night.

Tarry Faircloth, 53, told a friend he was taking the interstate home. He left the friend's house on Boyce's Landing Road in East Fayetteville around 7:30 p.m. and was headed to his home on Maxwell Road.

Before leaving, he told his friend that he was going to take I-95 south to Highway 24, because he believed the back roads were flooded.

A check of his cell phone records shows the last place his phone pinged a cell phone tower was in the area of Dunn Road and Murphy Road.

The dive team search of water near the 55 mile marker off I-95 didn't turn up anything.

Anyone who has seen or heard from Faircloth is asked to contact the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office at (910) 323-1500.
