Police: Man arrested after flashing woman in Garner shopping center

GARNER, N.C. (WTVD) -- Garner police say an alert victim helped them arrest a suspect who allegedly tried to grab the woman and then exposed himself.

Authorities say it happened near the Ross store at the White Oak Shopping Center on Saturday.

Police told ABC11 that 22-year-old Jeffrey Griggs started a conversation with the victim and, when she ignored him, he touched her. She turned around and that's when he exposed himself.

That victim was able to get a good description of Griggs and the license plate on his car, which helped police track him down.

Griggs is charged with indecent exposure and assault on a female.
