New interchange coming to NC 540 Toll Road in Holly Springs

HOLLY SPRINGS, N.C. (WTVD) -- The NC 540 Toll Road is getting a new interchange at a price tag of $18 million.

Drivers will soon be able to hop on the toll road from Old Holly Springs-Apex Road in Apex.

The area is in between U.S. Highway 1 and the N.C. 55 Bypass, which means the end of the highway will have three exits in a span of about two miles.

By 2035, 35,000 people are expected to use the new interchange, especially residents of the planned Veridea mixed-use development in Apex.
