Deadly motorcycle crash in Johnston County

JOHNSTON COUNTY (WTVD) -- A deadly motorcycle crash is under investigation in Johnston County.

It happened in the 3600 block of Old Fairgrounds Road near Zacks Mill Road in Angier.

The Highway Patrol said 21-year-old Richard Matthew Greene, of Benson, was driving erratically before apparently hitting a tree.

Witnesses report he passed them in double-yellow no passing zone at a high rate of speed.

No other cars were involved.

Troopers say Greene was driving his roommate's motorcycle, which was not registered nor insured.
