CHARLOTTE (WTVD) -- Cam Newton dove for a touchdown to take the lead in the second quarter of Sunday's game against Green Bay.

As he usually does, Newton went to get the ball to give to a fan in the stands.

When he tried to, WGHP reports that Julius Peppers grabbed the ball away from Newton and threw it away.

In the end, Newton did give the ball to a young fan and Carolina went on to win 37-29 and remain unbeaten at 8-0.
