EMS responds to more than 2 dozen heat-related incidents at parade, rally
With the recent stretch of sizzling hot weather, there were bound to be some heat-related concerns during the heavily attended Carolina Hurricanes' victory parade and championship celebration.
A Wake County spokesperson said medical personnel attended to 27 heat-related incidents. Eight people were taken for treatment. Eight others refused medical care.
