Missing woman, 2 young children returned home safely in Cumberland County

HOPE MILLS, N.C. (WTVD) -- The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office said a missing woman and two small children returned home on their own Sunday.

Deputies were contacted Saturday about 44-year-old Robin Hadfieldmims, who was last seen Friday with her 7-year-old granddaughter Ariyanna Gatson and another child - 7-year-old Crystan Hope Thackeray.

Hadfieldmims was headed to a McDonalds around 5 p.m. Friday with the children to get something to eat. She was driving a blue Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck with North Carolina license plate DBW-3424.

Police are still investigating where the trio was for 48 hours, though.
