NCCU Student Union evacuated due to a possible gas leak

DURHAM -- Just after 11:30 a.m. Friday, Durham Fire was dispatched to the NCCU's Alfonso Elder Student Union due to a possible gas leak.

Authorities evacuated the Student Union, and our crew on the scene could hear fire alarms going off.

Firefighters are on the scene investigating exactly what's happening.

Students were allowed back in the Student Union around noon.
