'Jackass' star Steve-O was sentenced to 30 days in jail Wednesday in connection to an August stunt in Hollywood, where he climbed up a crane and allegedly set off fireworks to protest SeaWorld.

Steve-O, whose real name is Stephen Glover, pleaded no contest to trespassing and illegal use of fireworks. He was also sentenced to three years of probation and ordered to pay the Los Angeles fire and police departments nearly $14,000 in restitution.

As a term of his probation, Steve-O can't "use, possess, manufacture, store, or transport any fireworks of any kind," according to the L.A. City Attorney's Office.

He must also stay 100 yards away from the "Hollywood Entertainment District," bordered by La Brea Avenue on the west, Franklin Avenue on the north, Argyle Avenue on the east, and Selma Avenue on the south.

The 41-year-old drew emergency responders to a construction site in the 6000 block of West Selma Avenue on Aug. 9 when he climbed a crane towering at least 100 feet with an inflatable Orca. The large killer whale balloon had the words "SeaWorld Sucks" on it.

Steve-O eventually voluntarily climbed back down and was arrested.

"My whole crane-climbing, fireworks debacle really turned out to be pretty meaningful in the end, too. I mean, if your goal is to make a statement about captivity, you may as well get yourself locked up!" Steve-O said in an Instagram post Wednesday.

He will surrender and begin serving his jail sentence on Dec. 9.
