The Carolina Panthers learned who their 2016-17 NFL season opponents will be Monday, and six of those foes will be teams they could potentially meet in Super Bowl 50.
The Panthers will get three teams that have made the playoffs this season at home and will play three on the road.
Although dates and times are yet to be determined, Carolina will host the Arizona Cardinals, the Minnesota Vikings and the Kansas City Chiefs.
The Panthers will travel to Seattle to play the Seahawks, in a rematch of this season's meeting Oct. 18 in Seattle where the Panthers won 27-23. The Panthers will also make another visit to Washington. They routed the Redskins this season 44-16 on Nov. 22.
The other marquis road matchup will be between the two top playoff seeds this season -- Carolina and Denver.
The rest of the home opponents will be NFC South division foes Atlanta, New Orleans and Tampa Bay as well as San Francisco and San Diego.
The other roads trips will be at Atlanta, New Orleans, Tampa Bay, St. Louis and Oakland.
The Panthers' schedule doesn't seem particularly daunting, as their collective opponents averaged only an 8-8 mark this season. But of course, a lot can change between now and the start of next season.
But for now, the 15-1 Panthers are focused only on one date, Feb, 7 -- and winning Super Bowl 50 in San Francisco.
Complete opponents for all teams are below.
