Man charged in Durham murder

DURHAM (WTVD) -- The Durham Police Department said Monday it has made an arrest in the April 4 shooting death of a man on University Drive.

Nathaniel Antonio Nelson, 26, is charged with murder and attempted robbery.

Investigators said Spencer Garrett Harrison, 21, of Durham, was found critically wounded in the 4800 block of University Drive around 4:30 a.m. on April 4.

Paramedics rushed him to Duke University Hospital. He died there that afternoon.
