RALEIGH (WTVD) -- A Wake County District Attorney said a man who was on trial last week did not return to the court room after a break during jury deliberations.
The jury convicted Rodney Veney, 43, of 3 counts of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.
Authorities are now searching for him.
Veney was charged in May 2015 with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, first degree burglary, and conspiracy breaking and entering.
He was out on bond before the trial.
Veney cannot be sentenced until he is taken into custody.
