Authorities have released a 911 call made from the wife of a Fort Bragg soldier after she shot him.

FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- Authorities have released a 911 call made from the wife of a Fort Bragg soldier after she shot him.

Caller: "I need an ambulance. I shot my husband. Our alarm went off, and I didn't hear him. I thought somebody was in my house."

You can hear 27-year-old Tiffany Segule tell emergency dispatchers that she thought her husband was an intruder. So, she shot him through their bedroom door.

Caller: "I hit him in his chest. Can you please hurry up? Please hurry up. Please hurry up."

The shooting happened last week at a home in the 1100-block of Christina Street in Cumberland County.

Police say 28-year-old Zia Segule returned from work to surprise his wife when he was shot.

He's been released from the hospital.
