Car slams into Durham school bus

DURHAM (WTVD) -- A driver was seriously injured after a Durham County school bus collided with his car early Monday morning.

Our crew on the scene said it happened as the school bus was trying to turn left from Guess Road onto Rose of Sharon Road in northwest Durham around 6 a.m. A southbound vehicle slammed into the bus, according to our crew.

The driver of that car was reportedly trapped until the fire department was able to free him.

There were no students on the bus at the time of the accident.
