CLAYTON, N.C. (WTVD) -- A major fire destroyed a mobile home in Clayton Saturday.
Officials said it happened in the 800 block of Glen Laurel Road. The road was shut down after 12 p.m. while firefighters battled the blaze. Officials said the road would only be closed for about an hour.
According to our crew on the scene, a passerby called in a fire under the mobile home's front porch.
The Clayton, Wilson's Mills, and Archer Lodge fire departments all responded to the scene, and Clayton police assisted with the road closure.
No one was injured. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the fire.
According to neighbors and fire crews on the scene, there was a fire at the same mobile home about a month ago.
