Family displaced after Rolesville apartment fire

ROLESVILLE, N.C. (WTVD) -- Fire damaged two apartments in Wake County Tuesday evening.

Firefighters responded to the Granite Falls Apartments in Rolesville in the 400-block of Hunter Falls Lane just before 6 p.m.

The fire chief told ABC11 that a pot on a stove caught fire which caused the sprinkler system to go off.

The sprinklers put out the flames, but also caused water damage to the apartment below.

The Red Cross is helping one family find a place to stay.
