BENSON, N.C. (WTVD) -- A female bank bandit in Johnston County was caught on camera smiling.
Surveillance cameras clearly captured the suspect with the big grin on her face.
Police in Benson say the woman walked into First Federal Savings and Loan in the 100 block of North Johnson Street around 2:30 p.m. Monday.
She gave the teller a handwritten note, demanding cash.
Once she got the money, witnesses say she left the parking lot in a silver or gray new model four-door vehicle.
The white female suspect was described as approximately 5' 5" tall, 145 to 155 pounds, with brown eyes, and dark brown hair. She was wearing white knee length shorts, a dark gray hooded sweatshirt, and she was carrying a dark colored purse with white trim and a white strap.
She was last seen approaching the intersection of Johnson and Main Streets in Benson.
