RALEIGH (WTVD) -- A man is facing charges following a fatal stabbing in Raleigh Monday night.

Officers were called to the 1300 block of Kent Road in west Raleigh around 8:15 p.m.

When they arrived, police found 30-year-old Jermaine Johnson dead at the scene.

Authorities have charged 52-year-old Michael Ray Evans with murder in connection with Johnson's death.

Evans, who lived at an apartment where the incident happened, is currently being held at the Wake County Detention Center.
