GALVESTON COUNTY, Texas (WTVD) -- A man finally surrendered after leading police on a high speed chase for about an hour in Texas.

It all began when the man refused to pull over during a traffic stop on I-45.

After finally stopping, the man immediately dropped face down on the ground. He was then ordered by police to put his hands in the air and walk backwards towards them.

Officers searched his car, but it wasn't immediately clear why he led police on the chase.
