Multiple vehicle crash closes part of Interstate 40 in Raleigh

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Eastbound travel on Interstate 40 was blocked near the Avent Ferry Road interchange due to a wreck involving multiple vehicles around 4 p.m.

Police did not say just how many vehicles were involved, but none of the injuries was life threatening.

The road reopened around 5:30 p.m.
