Walmart robber sought by police in Rocky Mount

ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. (WTVD) -- Rocky Mount police are looking for a brazen robber who may be connected to hold-ups in Wake County.



Police were called to the Walmart Super Center in the 1500 block of Benvenue Road just before 2 p.m. Wednesday.



They say the suspect robbed a clerk, and then ran away from the store.



At last report, police had still not found him.



The suspect is described as black male, 20s in age, 5'10" to 6' in height and weighing 150 to 170 lbs. The suspect was wearing large frame sunglasses, a dark blue Duke tee shirt, and blue jeans with a white hoodie on his head.



Police think he may be the same person involved in other Walmart robberies in and around Wake County in the last month.



No one was injured.
