Father, son facing charges in 2007 Orange County murder
ORANGE COUNTY (WTVD) -- Authorities in Orange County have arrested a father and son in connection with a 2007 murder.
On Tuesday, investigators served warrants on first-degree murder to 67-year-old Jerry Wayne Sawyers and 29-year-old Christopher Ray Sawyers in connection with the September 2007 death of Charles Sidney Lloyd.
Authorities said the case had stalled until last fall when new information surfaced, leading investigators to undiscovered evidence, which eventually led to the two suspects.
