RALEIGH (WTVD) -- The Wake County Animal Center is looking for people to adopt a pet after recent raids have put an extra burden on the facility.
The shelter has a sign posted on the door saying it is full after back-to-back raids in Willow Spring and Wendell of homes where people are accused of hording animals.
Officials are urging people to adopt to make room so they won't be forced to euthanize animals.
"There's only so much space, so we are pushing everyone into a home, but when space becomes an issue, we're kind of backed in a corner," explained shelter director Dr. Jennifer Federico.
