Suspected chase ends in fiery wreck

DURHAM (WTVD) -- A suspected chase in Durham County involving a pickup truck ended in a bad wreck early Saturday morning.

It happened on North Roxboro Road near the intersection with John Jones Road.

Our crew on the scene says the vehicle involved caught on fire. There were reports that someone was trapped inside the vehicle, but authorities have not confirmed that information.

The condition of those involved in the crash has not been released.

Our crew on the scene said a Durham County deputy's car was seriously damaged.

It is not yet known what caused the two vehicles to crash.
