Car crashes into gas line at Cary Dave & Buster's, prompting evacuation

CARY, N.C. (WTVD) -- Emergency crews responded Saturday afternoon after a car crashed into a gas line at Dave & Buster's in Cary.

The crash happened around 1:50 p.m. in the 1100 block of Walnut Street.

Cary police said a car struck the business's main gas line, causing an active gas leak. No injuries were reported among those inside the building or the vehicle. The business and surrounding area were evacuated.

Dominion Energy is working to repair the damaged gas line.

Authorities remained on scene Saturday afternoon to keep people and traffic away from the affected area. The Cary Fire Department is also assisting.

The crash remains under investigation. No further details have been released.
