Man arrested in connection with Fayetteville shooting, injuring 1

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WTVD) -- A man was arrested in Fayetteville in connection with a shooting that happened in June, leaving one person seriously injured.

The incident happened on June 26 in the area of Cude Street and Center Street.

Fayetteville police said officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert and 911 calls. Upon arrival, they found a man who had been shot in the chest.

Authorities arrested 18-year-old Micah James Boyer on Tuesday and charged him with attempted first-degree murder, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, inflicting serious injury, and felony conspiracy. Boyer also faces two felony probation violations.

He is being held at the Cumberland County Detention Center with no bond.
