Durham County Sheriff's Office launches new phone app and survey

DURHAM, N.C. (WTVD) -- Two new initiatives aimed at enhancing communication between the Durham County Sheriff's Office (DCSO) and the community were launched, Sheriff Clarence F. Birkhead announced Sunday.

The new phone app, 'DCSO App' provides real-time information and direct communication between residents and the sheriff's office. It is designed to improve emergency communication, offer quick access to updates and allow people to submit tips or report concerns.

DCSO is also conducting a survey for people to share feedback on the office's performance. They survey will be open until Wednesday, Oct. 22.

Both the app and survey are part of the sheriff's office's commitment to transparency and public safety. Links to the app and survey can be found on the DCSO website and social media pages.
