
WILSON, N.C. (WTVD) -- Two people were killed and a third was injured in a Monday afternoon shooting in Wilson.
Police officers responded at 2 p.m. to the 900 block of Washington Street, where they found the three people who sustained gunshot wounds.
Two of the victims, Natasha Latrice Sutton, 44, and Avantae Pender, 21, both of Wilson, were pronounced dead at the scene by Wilson County Emergency Medical Services.
Tiffany Fogg, 37, also of Wilson, was taken to Wilson Medical Center with what was described as a non-life-threatening injury.

Investigators identified Donta Maurice Chestnut, 39, of Wilson as a suspect. Chestnut was taken into custody and charged with two counts of first-degree murder and one count of attempted first-degree murder.
The investigation is still ongoing.
